ncn has hosted a delegation from the Russian city of Krasnodar, which is earmarked to host the 2014 winter Olympics. The visitors met with East Midlands business officials for a working lunch in the ncn Adams Restaurant & Brasserie on Thursday 23rd July.

Mr Alexander Dombrovskiy, the First Vice-Mayor and Director of the Financial Department, and Mr Boris Staroselskiy, Vice-City Manager and Chief of the Department for Foreign Relations, came to the College to discuss what East Midlands’ businesses can offer the region of Krasnodar.

Nick Whitehouse, ncn Dean of HE and International, said: “The College has welcomed international students for over thirty years and we are keen to develop new markets and links worldwide. We already attract students from other parts of Russia to our Summer School so started talks with the delegates on how we might build better links with schools, colleges and other organisations in Krasnodar.”

Organised by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the trip also included a tour of the Lace Market and Nottingham Castle.
