The course will run Wednesdays or Fridays, from 1.00pm - 4.00pm.

Location

The course takes place at ncn Clarendon.

NVQ Level 1 in Hospitality

Course Description

The course offers students the opportunity to learn the basics of hospitality and catering, including team building and relationships, food hygiene, health and safety, and the preparation and cooking of salads, fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, and basic desserts.

There is also the opportunity to develop skills by serving customers in a working food court.

Prior Learning Requirement

Students will need to have an interest and enthusiasm for the subject area.

Progression

NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality and Catering, Apprenticeships in Hospitality and Catering, or City & Guilds Diploma in Hospitality and Catering, continuing on to NVQ Level 3, Advanced Apprenticeships, or National Diplomas, with the opportunity to study Level 4 Hospitality Management.
