The course will run on Wednesdays, 1.00pm - 4.00pm.

Location

The course takes place at ncn Basford Hall.

Qualification

City & Guilds Introductory Certificate in Basic Construction Skills.

Course Description

An introductory course to the main construction trades, designed to provide learners with basic training in a range of construction skills.

Designed for those who are interested in a career in the construction industry, but may not know which specific trade they are interested in, the course will give learners an understanding of particular craft tasks and they will study across a range of skills, including carpentry, brickwork, plastering, plumbing and painting and decorating.

Prior Learning Requirement

Students will need to have an interest and enthusiasm for the subject area.

Progression

Apprenticeships, CAA Diploma Level 2, RVQ and NVQ Level 2, National Certificate Level 2, Advanced Apprenticeships, CAA Diploma Level 3, RVQ and NVQ Level 3, Foundation Degrees and HNDs or HNCs in Building Studies or Civil Engineering.
