Course Description
A first course in accounting, which starts to develop skills in double-entry bookkeeping and gives an understanding of management and administration processes.
Learners will learn how to use manual and computerised accounting systems and to work with the purchase ledger, sales ledger and general ledger.
Prior Learning Requirement
Students will need to be working towards Level 2 Communication, Numeracy and IT, and have an interest and enthusiasm for the subject area. Key Stage 3 Level 5/6 Maths is preferable.
Progression
NVQ Levels 3 and 4 in Accounting.
