Utilising the skills learnt on their course, students used the Adobe Creative Suite to design and build an interactive online game package which will be used to support E.ON staff in their career development and training. Working to a real commercial brief, students had to consider context, content and construction of the package as well as aspects like branding and accessibility issues.
E.ON Operational Trainer, Graham Turnbull, said: “This is the first time we have worked with students on a major project like this and the outcome has been really positive. It was eye-opening for me to work with people who could bring such technical expertise to the process. The students were very professional throughout and we are extremely happy with the finished package.”
Michael Kerry, 22, hopes to progress to work in video production on completion of his degree at ncn. He said: “Working with industry experts at E.ON was a great experience and a good insight into a company as a whole. I was able to put into practice what I’ve learnt at ncn and I’ve gained a lot more confidence. The industry is very competitive so the opportunity at E.ON was invaluable.”
