Management Advanced Apprenticeship
Emma works as Personal Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Support and Apprentice Co-ordinator for FACE Recording & Measurement Systems Ltd. During her time with the company she has fast-tracked through a Business and Administration Intermediate Apprenticeship, and is now taking a Management Advanced Apprenticeship.
“After realising college wasn’t for me, I went on to the National Apprenticeship Service website and applied for vacancies that I was interested in. New College Nottingham (ncn) then contacted me to discuss different options. I was put forward for an Apprenticeship with FACE, it was the first interview I’d had, and I got the job!
“When I started I helped with an office move, and then organised an office warming reception with champagne and canapés for 60 people. It was a great chance to manage a budget and get involved with our customers and suppliers.
“The Apprenticeship programmes with ncn have given me the chance to gain the career I have always wanted, and helped me progress in such a short space of time. I’m now responsible for co-ordinating the new apprentices we take on in the office. Eventually I’d like to become a manager, hopefully with FACE.”
