Stephen is studying at ncn in order to move into a management role with his employer, an engineering support services company. He took a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) at ncn before progressing to the Teaching and Learning Foundation Degree.
“My studies are a requirement of the post I currently hold as a vocational learning advisor. The biggest challenge has been to study and attend college whilst frequently travelling to Germany and around the UK with work. Combining that with family life has certainly involved some time management skills.
“I chose ncn because the times suited my working commitments. The DTLLS course gave me further insight into the requirements of being a teacher and, following completion of the Foundation Degree, I hope to move on to a BA (Hons) in Education at university, depending on the level of course fees.”
