Returning to education can be daunting for some, but Pam has no regrets having enrolled on the Access to HE Teaching Diploma course at ncn. “I have always wanted to be a primary school teacher, but couldn’t find the time to study with a young family. Now my two children have reached school age, I decided to go for it and haven’t looked back.
“You have to be organised and learn how to manage your time, but since everyone is so supportive it isn’t as hard as I thought it would be. The
atmosphere around college is very friendly too; the support staff are always smiling and are happy to help if you have an enquiry. It really has been fantastic from the word go.
“The course is well organised and I’m really enjoying my placement. I have also received distinctions in a few of my early units which have really boosted my confidence. It just shows it’s never too late to learn; if I can do it, anyone can!”
