Natasha Rear
Certificate in Education/ProfGCE in the Lifelong Learning Sector
Natasha studied a PGCE at ncn on a part-time basis in 2005. She now works in a full-time teaching role at the College, and has recently achieved the new nationally recognised Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) award.
"I was already working at ncn in a student support role and decided to take the PGCE to progress my career into teaching. I was obviously familiar with the reputation of the College, and as the course was close to work and home, it was the ideal place to study.
“A few years after gaining my qualification I began to teach
part-time on initial teacher training courses, and then moved into my current full-time position. I now teach on a variety of courses including the Teaching and Learning Foundation Degree, the Certificate in Education/ProfGCE and the Access to Teaching course.”
