Welcome to the Faculty of Hair and Beauty...

We offer a wide range of full-time and part-time hairdressing, barbering, beauty and holistic therapy courses as well as our apprenticeships which allow you to gain qualifications while you work.

We have two Hair and Beauty Salons, located at ncn Clarendon and ncn Hucknall. Each salon is fully equipped and operates as a commercial enterprise, taking appointments from clients throughout the week. By opening our doors to visitors, not only will you learn how to carry out treatments, but pick up customer care skills too – vital for when you start your career after qualifying.

At the College you will also have access to Your Look – a brand new nail bar located within ncn Clarendon. If you aspire to be a nail technician this is a fabulous place to learn your trade.

Students often get involved with organisations around the region. Last year make-up students transformed the faces of actors from the Nottingham Operatic Society for their production of Beauty and the Beast at the Theatre Royal. Using the techniques learnt on their course the students created characters from this popular fairytale including Belle, the Beast, Mrs Potts and Lumière.

Beauty and hairdressing students showcase their talents at a special end of year shows and awards ceremony. You’ll get to present your skills in hair, make-up and nails, as models take to the catwalk to show off your creations to an audience of friends, family, tutors and industry sponsors.
