Adult learner, Samantha Howitt, 26, has been able to add new skills and qualifications to her CV after studying several part-time courses at the St George’s Centre in Netherfield.
Since completing an Employability Skills course in 2008, she has now achieved qualifications in IT, paediatric and emergency first aid, aromatherapy and food hygiene.
Samantha said: “Because the courses were just a few hours a week it made it possible for me to manage my
busy family life alongside studying. My daughter is starting school this year so it gives me the chance to return to work. With the extra skills I have learnt I now feel more confident and better qualified to go out and actively seek employment.”
