Fashion courses are held in the historic Adams Building (ncn City), a converted lace mill with excellent facilities, including spacious fashion studios with a large variety of resources to support all our learners and a fully equipped multimedia suite with up-to-date facilities for drawing, design, fashion drawings, pattern cutting and grading. Our Foundation Degree in Fashion Interpretation and Practice students have won gold awards and a silver medal in the WorldSkills competitions.
Our Art and Design courses take place at the ncn Lace Market School of Art and Design on Stoney Street, opposite the Adams Building. Based in one of the UK’s most creative cities and a stone’s throw away from Nottingham Contemporary art gallery, ncn offers you some superb artistic
facilities and a great location for inspiration.
There are plenty of spacious, well-lit workspaces, 3D workshops, a ceramics studio, a photographic studio and darkrooms, printmaking facilities, a machine workshop and an impressive gallery space.
At ncn City (Adams), Media and i-Media students have access to a three-camera television studio, a multiple studio radio station, and plenty of multimedia computing areas.
Training is provided in professional software such as Selector, Avid, Adobe and Autodesk. We have invested in digital editing hardware and software, and have a range of both moving image and still image digital camera equipment for students to use.
All courses culminate in an end-of-year exhibition and fashion show where students display their work to the public.
