I've already enrolled - what can I do now?
Questions?
If you have any questions, contact the ncn Call Centre on 0115 9 100 100 or enquiries@ncn.ac.uk.
Even though you've already enrolled on your course, you might still have some questions before you start your studies.
How do I get a Student ID Card?
To obtain your College ID card, please enquire at the reception of the campus you are studying at. You will need to do this within the first 3 weeks of your course.
Your card must be carried at all time while you are on College premises. In particular, you will need your card to access the Learning Centres, Reprographic Services, and some buildings.
If you are studying an ncn course at a community venue, you will need to carry your enrolment receipt when attending. You can also apply for an ID card via your tutor.
How do I get a Students' Union card?
You are automatically a member of the Students' Union when you receive your ID card.
For special discounts and other offers, you will need an NUS Extra card. You can fill out the application form when you get your ID card, or you can purchase the NUS Extra card online.
What do I need to bring with me?
If you will need to bring materials with you, you will be notified before you begin your course.
Please be aware that the refectories will be closed on Saturdays and that refreshments will not be available. There are vending machines at most campuses outside of normal refectory hours.
Where do I go for my first class?
When you arrive for your first class, please go to the main reception area. You will either be met there by your tutor, or the receptionist will give you directions to your classroom.
Is there any car parking?
Some car parking is available at ncn Basford Hall, ncn Bath Street, ncn Clarendon and ncn Hucknall. Spaces are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need your ID card for access to parking facilities at some campuses.
There is no car parking at ncn Adams, ncn Broadway, ncn High Pavement Sixth Form College, or ncn Lace Market School of Art and Design, although public car parks are located close by. These campuses are well served by public transporting, including the tram system. There are also bicycle facilities for those who prefer to cycle to college.
If you are studying an ncn course at a community venue (off-campus), then please contact the ncn Call Centre on 0115 9 100 100 for information on parking availability.
I'm on the wrong course
If you feel that the course you're studying isn't right for you, either speak to your tutor, talk to Student Services, or contact the ncn Call Centre on 0115 9 100 100 for advice.
I'm unhappy with my course
If you're unhappy with your course, initially let your tutor or their manager know. If you require guidance about whether the course is right for you, please speak to one of our Student Advisers.
If you wish to make a complaint, please contact our Call Centre on 0115 9 100 100 or email your complaint to complaints@ncn.ac.uk
My course has been cancelled
If a course is cancelled, the College will automatically refund all fees. This may be on a pro rata basis, depending on how many weeks the course has been running.
If there is an alternative course that is appropriate to your needs, you may wish to be tranferred, providing that places are available. Contact the Call Centre for further information on 0115 9 100 100.
