You can enrol onto our part-time courses in one of two ways:

By phone
You can enrol by calling us on 0115 9 100 100. Minicom users can contact us on 0115 947 4706 (please note: minicom numbers are provided for use by people who are hard of hearing or deaf).

In person
If you are entitled to remitted fees, you must enrol in person at any of the ncn centres. Don't forget to bring your current benefits documents when you enrol to be eligible for remitted fees.
Our course search or A-Z Guide to Part-Time Courses will tell you how to enrol for your chosen course, but if you are in any doubt please call 0115 9 100 100.
What you need to have with you when you enrol
Please ensure you have the following information available when you enrol:
- Existing or previous ncn student ID number (if you have one)
- National Insurance number
- Personal identification - find out more about acceptable identification documents...
- You will need to provide a letter from your employer or other sponsor if they are paying your fees so that we can invoice them
- If applicable, payment for course fees and/or material fees; for the exact cost of your course (which may include the cost of specialist materials) please contact the College
Important
All course fees which are payable at enrolment are clearly identified in the course listings in the guide and in the course search. You will only be enrolled if you have the full payment with you or if you provide your bank details to set up an instalment plan by Direct Debit (conditions apply).
Acceptable Identification Documents
Please bring at least one form of identification with you when you enrol.
Please note: If you are in receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance (Work Related Activity) you may be entitled to fee remission and your benefit letter dated within 1 month of your enrolment date should be the evidence produced at enrolment. Your benefit evidence will be accepted as your form of identification.
Personal ID
- Current UK or foreign signed passport or an EEA national identity card
- Current UK or EEA photo card driving licence, including provisional (current address) or a blue disabled driver's pass
- Current full UK driving licence (current address)
- Personal identification card (not ncn ID card)
- Birth certificate
- NHS medical card
- Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) letter (dated within 6 month of your enrolment date)
- Council Tax bill (valid current year)
- Student Loan Company statement showing outstanding balance (less than 12 months old)
- National Insurance card
- Debit/credit card
Evidence below must be dated within 1 month prior to enrolment
- Letter from Department for Work and Pensions, Pension Service, Job Centre Plus or local authority confirming rights to benefits
- UK utility bill/book (not mobile phone) or a letter from a utilities supplier confirming pre-payment agreement and containing current address
- Bank/building society/National Savings and Investments or credit card statement, book or printout for any account type containing current address
