Certificate in Education/ProfGCE in the Lifelong Learning Sector
Natasha studied a PGCE at ncn on a part-time basis in 2005. She now works in a full-time teaching role at the College, and has also
achieved the new nationally recognised Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) award, and an MA in Education.
“I started as a volunteer in a rural youth centre many years ago, and began working as a youth worker after university. I loved working with young
people in a classroom setting and watching them develop and achieve their goals. After a while I decided to train part-time so I
could teach in the further education sector.
“A few years after gaining my qualification I began to teach part-time on initial teacher training courses, and then moved into my current full-time position. I now teach on a variety of courses including the Teaching and Learning Foundation Degree, the Certificate in Education/ProfGCE and the Access to Teaching course.”
