Hospitality Management (Events) Foundation Degree
Ben’s been studying at ncn since he first joined the Junior Chef’s Academy aged 15. He’s now in his second year of the Foundation Degree.
“When I first came to ncn I really wanted to become a chef, but I became interested in the whole aspect of hospitality and how events are put together from start to finish.
“I’m learning so many new things: legal matters; risk assessments; contingency plans; contracting; getting quotes; and liaising with clients to name a few!
“I particularly enjoyed my six month work placement. I got to put many of the things I had been learning into practice. I took the lead on a publication launch liaising with supermarkets and the council to set up stalls to promote the publication. I feel I’ve now got practical experience of the whole spectrum of an event – so now I know I can achieve anything!”
