Special Support Bursary

ncn offers additional, non-repayable financial support through the Special Support Bursary for students who meet certain criteria. The amount of support available will depend on your personal situation.

The ncn Special Support Bursary is only available to full-time higher education students. In order to be considered, applications must be received by the deadline.

Access to Learning Fund

What is the Access to Learning Fund?

The Access to Learning Fund (ALF) is designed to help students in financial hardship who may need extra support to remain in college.

Who can apply?

The fund is available to home students on full-time or part-time university-level courses at New College Nottingham. Applicants are expected to meet certain residency conditions.

How much help could I get?

Awards do vary, but students could receive up to £2,000. All applications are means tested and based on your personal circumstances.

How do I apply?

Applications can be accepted throughout the academic year. However, you are encouraged to apply early. Contact the College’s HE Welfare and Finance Adviser, Helen Lucas, on 0115 910 4590 for an application form or to check if your course qualifies.

Completed Access to Learning Fund Application Form and supporting documents should be returned to the address provided on the form.
