Performing Arts and Music students have access to our exciting purpose-built facilities at the ncn Clarendon Academy of Performing Arts and Music.
Specialist facilities include a large theatre seating up to 300 people, a smaller theatre seating up to 84 people, and a box office with a computerised front of house system. Both theatres benefit from state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment.
Music students have use of the recital room, a range of individual and group practice rooms, a Mac/Logic/Ableton Live
computer suite, a PC/Cubase music
suite, a post-production suite and
three industry-standard recording
studios running ProTools HD
systems.
By achieving a status of an Official Roland Academy, we have become Nottingham’s first and only centre – joining an elite group of just 13 other centres in the UK. Specialising in three areas of excellence: Synth Academy; Boss Academy; and Music Video Academy. We have a comprehensive range of the latest music technology from Roland to inspire music creativity, sonic experimentation and multimedia engagement.
Dance students can make use of three dance studios with sprung floors and drama students have access to six rehearsal rooms. Students also have access to a construction workshop and costume-making facilities for set and wardrobe design and production.
