For optimal compatibility with this website, we recommend that you use the latest version of Firefox, which can be downloaded off the Mozilla website.
To change the font size
- Go to the 'View' menu.
- Choose 'Zoom' and select either 'Zoom In' or 'Zoom Out'.
Zoom not only changes the font size, but also changes the size of any images.
To remove the page style:
- Go to the 'View' menu.
- Choose 'Page Style'.
- Here you can select 'No Styles', which turns off all styling on the page, or 'Basic Page Style', which has the styling set by the page designer.
To change the fonts and colours:
- Go to the 'View' menu.
- Choose 'Page Style'.
- Select 'No Style'.
- Go to the 'Tools' menu.
- Select 'Options...'
- Click the 'Content' button.
- Under the 'Font & Colours' section, click the 'Advanced...' button.
- Untick the box next to "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above".
- Choose the fonts you prefer.
- Click 'OK'.
- Click on the 'Colours' button.
- Untick the box next to "Allow pages to choose their own colours, instead of my selections above".
- Untick the box next to "Use system colours".
- Choose the colours you prefer.
- Click 'OK'.
- Click 'OK' again.
Selecting different fonts, background and text colours can help with readability. For example, people with dyslexia can use a light yellow or light blue background to make the text easier to read.
To stop images and graphics from loading:
- Go to the 'Tools' menu.
- Select 'Options...'
- Click the 'Content' button.
- Untick the box next to "Load images automatically".
- Click 'OK'.
Stopping images and graphics from loading can reduce download time and make the page easier to read.
To change the size of the window:
- Click 'View' then 'Full Screen' from the toolbar, or press F11.
A full-screen browser window can be easier to read.
