WorldSkills UK

Welcome to ncn's dedicated WorldSkills page.

WorldSkills UK is the UK's premier set of skills competitions for young people and adults. World Skills UK competitions are held both regionally and nationally each year in the UK. Their main aim is to help raise the standards of training and performance at work by strengthening the contribution of skills competitions to the UK economy.

The College encourages students to get involved in the competitions as a valuable learning experience and also an opportunity to showcase their skills. Competitors receive help and support through all stages of the competition.

Outstanding WorldSkills UK National Finalists in some WorldSkills UK competitions may be considered for potential inclusion in a shortlist for the team that goes on to represent the UK at a WorldSkills Competition.

WorldSkills International aims to raise the status and standards of vocational skills and training worldwide – in an innovative and forward looking way. WorldSkills International runs the WorldSkills Competition. It is the biggest skills competition in the world and is held every two years in one of its Member countries/regions. It sets world class standards in over 45 skill categories ranging from cabinet making to web design.
